Screening/Assessments/Evaluations

If you are concerned about your child’s communication development an initial phone consultation will allow us to determine an appropriate plan together. We offer screenings, informal, and comprehensive speech and language evaluations. We take an in-depth look at your child’s skills using a variety of measures such as standardized assessments, observations and family and teacher input.

Individualized Therapy

Therapy begins with the development of a comprehensive treatment plan that meets your child’s individual needs. Specific therapy goals are carefully curated by taking your child’s strengths and interests into account. Furthermore, we select the most appropriate and evidence-based therapy approaches to help your child succeed.

Reading & Literacy Tutoring

Children of all ages can struggle with literacy, reading and spelling development. We are committed to encouraging the enjoyment of reading and view this as a central element of academic success. We offer individualized instruction using The Orton-Gillingham approach. Orton-Gillingham is a highly structured approach that breaks reading and spelling down into smaller skills involving letters and sounds, and then builds on these skills over time.

Small Group Instruction & Therapy

We offer small group instruction and therapy, which involves a group of children- typically 2 to 4- who have similar speech, language, or communication goals. This setting allows us to target specific skills while also promoting social interaction and peer modeling. In this environment, children benefit from increased opportunities for practice, feedback, and support. It also encourages turn-taking, active listening, and conversational skills, helping them to generalize what they learned to real-word settlings like the classroom and playground.
