Brooke Miller, M.S. CCC-SLP

Brooke Miller, M.S. CCC-SLP is the owner and director of Brooke Miller: Speech-Language Pathology. She is a New York State licensed and nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Brooke has worked in various setting including private and public schools and private practice. Brooke has been working in the private sector since 2006 and expanded to her own practice in 2012.

Brooke graduated with the highest honors from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Speech Language Pathology. She later received her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Adelphi University, where she also graduated with the highest honors. She maintains certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed in New York State. She also holds a permanent certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).

Brooke has vast experience working with children in the pediatric population. She has provided diagnostic and therapeutic services for children and adolescents with articulation, receptive/ expressive/pragmatic language, oral-motor, processing, executive functioning and phonological impairments. In addition, she has worked with children diagnosed with learning, reading and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Furthermore, Brooke has received extensive training in Orton-Gillingham (OG), a research-based multisensory approach to teaching reading, spelling, penmanship and other literacy skills.

Brooke believes that creating a positive and fun learning environment facilitates her clients to reach their fullest potential. Her practice is based on providing the highest quality of service while working to achieve their speech and language goals. In order to provide the most meaningful and effective therapy, Brooke strives to identify and customize therapy sessions to meet each child’s individual learning style and needs. She stressed the importance of incorporating functional skills into therapy in order to build confidence and promote carryover of skills learned. Lastly, Brooke strongly believes that consistent and continued collaboration with family, teachers, and other therapists is the best way to support her clients in achieving their goals.
